American Academic Driving School is committed to providing professional, reliable instruction while respecting the time of both our students and instructors. The following policy applies to all scheduled driving lessons.

1. Cancellation or Rescheduling: Students may cancel or reschedule a lesson without charge by providing at least 24 hours’ notice before the scheduled lesson time.
2. Late Cancellation: Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice may be subject to a $50 cancellation fee.
3. Same-Day Cancellation & No-Show: Same-day cancellations, missed appointments (no-shows), or failure to attend a scheduled lesson without prior notice will be charged as a completed lesson and are not eligible for a refund.
4. Required Documents: Students must have their valid California instruction permit or driver’s license in their possession at the time of the lesson. If a lesson cannot be conducted because the student does not have the required valid document, the lesson will be treated as a same-day cancellation.
5. Late Arrival: Students who arrive late will receive the remaining portion of their scheduled lesson. Lessons cannot be extended beyond the originally scheduled end time.
6. Instructor Waiting Time: Instructors will wait up to 15 minutes after the scheduled lesson start time. If the student does not arrive or cannot be contacted within that time, the lesson will be considered a no-show.
7. Refunds: Unused prepaid lessons may be refunded upon written request. Completed lessons and applicable cancellation fees will be deducted at the school’s standard lesson rate. Approved refunds will be processed within 5–10 business days to the original payment method whenever possible.
8. Exceptional Circumstances: American Academic Driving School reserves the right to waive cancellation fees in cases of verified emergencies or circumstances beyond the student’s reasonable control.
